The Sydney Campus of the Rural Clinical School is based at the Kensington Campus of UNSW. The principle concerns of the Campus are to:
Administer special entry schemes, such as the Rural Students Entry Scheme (RSES) and the Indigenous Student Entry Scheme;
Encourage and support students who are interested in pursuing a career in rural health, through such activities as the Rural High School Medicine Workshop and Health Careers Kit
Promote rural medicine as a viable alternative to urban-based medical practice
Provide a forum for communication between metropolitan and rural health professionals
Assist in the development of the rural curriculum at UNSW and
Conduct research into rural health issues
The Sydney Campus supports students in a variety of ways coordinating social events, student meetings, tutoring support and other activities to help students with their transition to University and the Medicine Program.
The Rural Clinical School Sydney campus is located in Room 327, Level 3 of the Samuels building (F25) at the far eastern end of the Kensington campus, off the Botany Street entrance. Please see the 2013 Kensington Campus Map or visit our 'Lost on Campus' site.
