Sarah receives CWA grant

AN education grant will aid in easing the financial burden for former St Mary’s College student Sarah Clark who is heading to university this year to study medicine.

Sarah received the Phillip Group CWA Educational Grant for $400 on Friday at a morning tea with Curlewis CWA members.

The Phillip Group comprises nine Sydney metropolitan branches and its main focus is fund-raising for education.

The group distributes grants to applicants right across NSW.

Applicants must be a child or grandchild of a CWA member. Sarah’s mum Kellee, is a member of the Curlewis branch.

Sarah, who will begin her studies at the University of NSW at the end of this month, said the grant will be of great benefit to her studies.

“I’m very grateful to receive this grant,” Sarah said.

“It will go towards making living a little easier while I’m at university.”
