Griffith students learn about Mungo National Park's Indigenous past

RCS's Griffith Campus set off on an epic journey to Mungo National Park in late October. During the trip the Indigenous tour guide, Graham, told students about the history of Mungo and its Indigenous people, and the importance of preserving the stunning national park.

Graham talked about important healthcare issues that Indigenous communities face today, and what he believes could make a difference.

Students tucked into a tasty lunch, which included kangaroo salami and cold smoked kangaroo, with native plant side condiments. One sauce in particular was a real hit with the students.

This is a wonderful yearly event that gives the Griffith students a rare glimpse into the Indigenous people of Mungo National Park while taking in some of the world's most stunning and visually arresting scenery.
