UNSW Rural Clinical School

Sydney Campus

The Sydney Campus of the Rural Clinical School is based at the Kensington Campus of UNSW. The principle concerns of the Campus are to:
  • administer special entry schemes, such as the Rural Students Entry Scheme (RSES) and the Indigenous Student Entry Scheme;
  • encourage and support students who are interested in pursuing a career in rural health, through such activities as the Rural High School Medicine Workshop and Health Careers Kit
  • promote rural medicine as a viable alternative to urban-based medical practice
  • provide a forum for communication between metropolitan and rural health professionals
  • assist in the development of the rural curriculum at UNSW and
  • conduct research into rural health issues
The Sydney Campus supports students in a variety of ways coordinating social events, student meetings, tutoring support and other activities to help students with their transition to University and the Medicine Program
