Accommodation
The accommodation centre is located within the hospital grounds. The approximate cost is $45 per week (room only). Students who can produce documentation that shows they pay rent in Sydney are exempt from the accommodation charge. All rooms have linen and towels provided. There is a fully self contained kitchen although meal tickets can be purchased (approximately $3 for continental breakfast and $6 for lunch and dinner).
There is a swimming pool in the grounds of the accommodation and also four bikes that can be booked out for your use. You will need to contact Jane Nichols in the Staff Development Centre for access to the bikes.
Upon arrival, students can obtain keys from the Accident and Emergency Department at the side of the hospital. The room will be booked from the Friday evening before placement. |
