UNSW has short term accommodation located adjacent to the Rural Clinical School in the hospital grounds.
There are three accommodation units with four bedrooms in each. Each accommodation unit has a furnished and air conditioned communal lounge/dining area and kitchen with cooking utensils, microwave, fridge/ freezer and electric cooking hob.

Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, double bed, desk, wardrobe, heater and fan. Students will need to bring all of their own double bed size linen including pillows and towels.

The communal laundry is equipped with washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board, sink and vacuum cleaner. A key for the laundry is kept in each accommodation unit. An outside barbecue area is available for the use of guests.

Limited parking is available in the School grounds.

Costing

There is no charge for UNSW Medical students on RUSC rotation, as costs are covered by the Clinical School. Upon check-in, a $100 cleaning and $20 key deposits are required in cash. These charges are fully refundable provided the premises are left clean and tidy (Cleaning materials and products are provided).

Students relocating to Coffs Harbour for years 4, 5 or 6 of their Medical Degree can take advantage of this short term accommodation (subject to availability) while they find long term rental accommodation in the area. The cost in this situation is $80/week plus the deposits mentioned above.

Check In and Check Out

Check in and out is limited to normal office hours of 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday unless other arrangements have been made.

Transport Availability

Two bus services link Coffs Harbour and Sawtell leaving from the main entrance of the Hospital.
